COMPETITIVENESS CLUSTERS: HAUTE SAVOIE IS INVOLVED WITH FOUR OF THEM

Competitiveness clusters Competitiveness clusters Competitiveness clusters

The government launched a request for proposals in late 2004 to boost a new industrial policy combining innovation and industry in France. After reviewing the applications, 71 competitiveness clusters were named by the CIADT (Interministerial Regional Planning and Development Committee) on 12 July 2005 and 5 July 2007.

A competitiveness cluster is, for a given territory :

An association of businesses, research centres, and training organisations, engaged in a partnership approach for identifying synergies around innovative projects carried out jointly toward a given market. This policy aims to promote then support initiatives coming from economic and academic players within a territory. National site for competitiveness clusters : www.competitivite.gouv.fr

The Rhône-Alpes region has 15 competitiveness clusters. In Haute-Savoie, businesses are involved in four of them :

  • Arve Industries Haute-Savoie Mont-Blanc
  • Imaginove
  • Minalogic
  • Sporaltec
